Governor Tim Walz Signs One Minnesota Budget into Law

Governor Tim Walz is Minnesota's 41st Governor. He was first elected Governor in 2018 and won re-election in 2022. Before his successful run for governor, he represented Minnesota's 1st District for 12 years.
One Minnesota Budget
Governor Walz signed the One Minnesota Budget into law alongside Lieutenant Governor Peggy Flanagan. The budget increases funding for education, healthcare, and other vital programs. It also includes a number of tax cuts for working families and small businesses.
Immigration
During his 2022 re-election campaign, Governor Walz denounced his Republican opponent for saying that accepting immigrants without enough resources would be a "disaster." Walz has supported policies that welcome immigrants and refugees to Minnesota.
